Short Term Insurance Manager (minimum 2 years’ staff management experience) with business related qualification and minimum 5 years’ short term insurance experience, required to manage and monitor the performance of the Service Consultants for this Insurer based in Centurion.

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Minimum 5 years’ short term insurance experience and  minimum 2 years staff management experience essential
  • FAIS accreditation according to the FSCA requirements essential
  • RE5 and KI essential
  • Extensive knowledge of the short term insurance industry required
  • Class of Business certification required

Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategic plan and management and monitor the performance of the Service Consultants
  • Maintain and develop client relationships
  • Accountable for the Provincial Customer base, growth opportunities and specific demands
  • Manage, monitor and control team’s delivery on SLA’s
  • Manage, monitor and control team’s execution of client requests, concerns and queries
  • Attend to escalations
  • Manage and monitor productivity
  • Manage cancellations
  • Ensure team’s adherence to correct procedures and protocols
  • Analyse Client Service processes and identify opportunities to improve and implement improvements
  • Identify and report system failures
  • Update and maintain SOP’s within the Client Service area
  • Ensure effective administration
  • Implement corrective actions
  • Manage loss ratios and branch profitability
  • Underwriting and Post-Loss implementation
  • Client liaison, relationship management
  • Financial responsibility – discretionary discounts, refund authorisations, back dating of amendments, credit control and claims authorisation
